Raffino - seat
In Ergo Raffino, the seat is made of high-quality cast polyurethane foam using high-temperature molding technology. The foam used has a density of 55 kg/m³ and is 69.5 mm thick. The polyurethane foaming process in molds ensures a uniform, compact structure without empty spaces, which translates into high durability, resistance to deformation, and long-term retention of performance parameters. The foam does not require the use of glue or formaldehyde, making it safe for health and environmentally friendly.
The front edge of the seat has been ergonomically rounded, which reduces pressure on the thigh muscles and limits the risk of lower limb numbness when maintaining a forward-leaning position, e.g., during handwriting. The entire seat is covered with durable and wear-resistant upholstery. The bottom of the seat is protected by a cover made of polypropylene with 25% glass fiber additive, 3.1 mm thick, which effectively prevents deformation and strengthens the structure.

The seat width is 490 mm, and the depth is 500 mm. The seat height is adjusted using the first aluminum lever (dimensions 73x23 mm), located under the seat on the left side. This adjustment allows the feet to be placed firmly on the floor, while maintaining a knee angle of approximately 90°. This is the basis of an ergonomic position that supports proper circulation and reduces strain on the lower back. It also prevents nerve compression, muscle tension, and numbness in the legs and buttocks.

Depth adjustment is possible within a range of 50 mm. The mechanism is operated by a lever (dimensions 45x15 mm), made of polyamide with 30% glass fiber, located under the seat on the right side of the seated person, which allows for intuitive and ergonomic adjustment to the user. This adjustment allows the chair to be adapted to the user's thigh length. The appropriate distance between the seat edge and the knees prevents blood vessel compression and improves sitting comfort.
Additionally, the seat offers a forward tilt adjustment of 3°, supporting a more dynamic, active sitting position.
